Greetings Brethren,

I don't send out emails often anymore but here's one.

While preaching verse by verse from Romans this Sunday morning (11th) in the Brasov Independent Baptist Church, I arrived at Romans 10:3 which speaks of those who seek to ESTABLISH their own righteousness (all religions and morality based ideas of salvation) instead of SUBMITTING themselves unto the righteousness of God.  These two very different types of righteousnesses make the difference between heaven and hell.  At the invitation, a man in his 20's immediately turned around in his seat to one of our Bible Institute students and pleaded for personal instruction with the matter of receiving the gift of God's righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ.  Vasile emerged from the back room gladly declaring that Jesus Christ was in his heart and that he was now saved.  Glory to the Lamb of God!

Immediately after this service I jumped in the car to travel the hour or so drive to preach in Racos Independent Baptist Church for the 2pm service.  Even with all of the past problems, we had a good group of adults to preach to.  There were 16 in the service in the village.  The amazing thing about this was that 4 of those people were Orthodox.  They are not saved but sat intently through the service and said they would come next week.  One of the four had been coming previously with her daughter.  This week she brought two friends.  They walked about 20-30 minutes from the neighboring village.  What a sight!  An UNSAVED Orthodox lady bringing people to church, singing There is Power in the Blood, and even cleaning the church house and starting the fire for the meeting.  Wow.  God give us more lost people like that!!!!!!!!!!!

We were in court this past Friday concerning our freedom of speech in the streets.  The police did not show with their witnesses and asked for postponement again.  Our official court translator was also not available so all is reset for next month.  We did hold our regular street preaching and tract distribution in the city center this week.  The police, who were very present, totally left us alone which has been the case for some time.  We thank the Lord for this freedom and for your prayers concerning it.

With all of these positives and victories we are still very much feeling the negative affects of spiritual battle in church attendances and other areas.  Each victory gives encouragement however for the next obstacle.  We desperately need SOLID Christians and churches in this country which is close to none existent.  Ignorance, instability, apathy, and the thirst for western European money is the standard of the day.  We will press on with the true riches and spiritual light for all those who will care enough to get a good look.

Blessings to each of you,
B. Logan
