            Thank you for viewing the Spring City Baptist Church website. We are an old-fashioned Independent Baptist Church. We believe that the King James Bible is the inspired word of God that has been preserved (Psalm 12:6,7) for us as English speaking people. We believe that it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (1 Timothy 3:16). The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. Therefore, those things we do as a church center around the word of God. It is our desire to help others with the word.

            If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, we invite you to look at the section titled, “How to be Saved”. More than anything, we desire that people from our own part of the world in Russell County, Virginia and around this globe will come to Jesus Christ for salvation. You can personally see our churches heart for the unsaved by the emphasis we place upon MISSIONS. We support missionary families in countries all around the world who are preaching the word of God as we do here. We recently have undertaken the great task of getting the printed page to the world through the assembly of John and Romans scripture portions. These portions of scriptures are “seed” in the hand of the “sower”. Our church folks have had the privilege of putting their fingerprints where their footprints may never go. 

            The people of the Spring City Baptist Church also understand the importance of the HOME. The strength of any church will only be as strong as the homes that represent it. We truly emphasize raising our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. On this website you will see many pictures of our church school, Masters Club program and Children’s Church ministries. All these play a vital role in raising our children for the Lord. 

Another emphasis of our church is the PUBLIC MINISTRY. We believe that the same word and salvation in our hearts in needed for people all around us within our own county. How hypocritical to send missionaries and Bibles overseas and not do the same at home. We get the word out publicly through door to door visitation, street preaching, and our annual float ministries.
