LoganLetter #57 (August 2008)

Rich blessings to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.

August has been a hot and busy month for the Logan family in Romania.

We are glad to report to you the dealings of the Lord with us in our ministry. Many of you have been interested in the amount of money that has come in so far for the church property in Brasov. Including all of our monthly support in June, special gifts sent during that month, and other money given outside of June, we have a total of $10,877. The Romanians in the church have also been doing their part in giving. Within the last year, they have given the equivalent of $4,300. This is a very great amount for them and represents a sacrifice for many. Therefore, the total available funds from both sides of the ocean is just over $15,000. This figure is many miles away from where we must be to ever obtain property for them, but it is a start; and we are thankful to all who have prayed and given thus far. We will continue to depend upon Almighty God for this provision.

I also want to report to you about our summer camp (picture above) that we held for our church. We had a total of 45 people attend this year with a group of 15 coming with Bro. Paul Hamilton from his church in Moldova. God was really at work! What a blessing it is to see knees bowed, tears running down cheeks, loud singing, and lively Amen’s from God’s people. The preaching of the Bible was emphasized by our having two preaching services each day. Morning and evening the word of God went forth to light a fire in the hearts. Some declared that they never saw it on that fashion before. What a difference the Bible makes! The work and preparation for this camp was difficult, but the fellowship and results were sweet. Isn’t that always the case with labour for the Lord?

Concerning the printing ministry, we have now printed thousands of gospel tracts, Bible Institute materials, doctrinal booklets, and are presently engaged in printing New Testaments with Psalms, Proverbs, and the Wisdom Books. Without you, none of this would be possible since ink and paper are not free. This latest endeavour of printing Bibles is our greatest task to date, and also the most rewarding and important. To be involved in printing the FIRST BIBLE after the text of the Authorized Version in the Romanian language is an unspeakable joy. It has been 137 years since a Romanian Bible even attempted to follow the pure line of Bible manuscripts. Please keep these efforts in your prayers. The hope of Romania and Eastern Europe is the same hope for America and your family....THE WORDS OF THE LIVING GOD.

Finally, rejoice with us over a twenty year old Romanian lady, who caught a ride to our church this past Sunday from 45 minutes away and responded during the invitation to receive Christ as her Saviour! The gospel still works!!!

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all"

(Romans 16:24)
