LoganLetter #54 (May 2008)

Greetings from Romania!

We praise the Lord for the grace to give a continual witness for Jesus Christ in Eastern Europe. Above is a picture of a recent street meeting this month. The chalk drawings (Cornel is the artist, the picture he drew is below on the right) has been a very effective means in "drawing" a crowd while we preach. Our church people busily pass out tracts which were printed from our printing ministry this month. We have run out of Chick tracts, and are now writing, printing, and assembling our own. Bro. Adam Zander is doing a great job running the printing ministry. We are now aiding other missionaries around the country with their needs. Fifteen thousand tracts were printed last week in Romanian for a good brother about six hours away from us. The next big job is printing the new Romanian translation of the Bible which is faithful to the King James. This will be our biggest task yet. Please pray for this effort. Souls continue to receive Christ as Saviour. Please pray for Petrica who recently walked the isle in our church for salvation. He is another college student that the Lord has given us. Remember Bro. Cornel & Mrs. Mari in this good ministry. I have included his family prayer letter in this mailing for you to read and consider. He is still in need of monthly support. In other news, we have planted a garden again this year in order to help provide the needs of some of the poor in our ministry. Pray that the Lord sends adequate rain for all the potatoes, corn, and beans that are now in the ground. We have many evangelistic plans for the summer in new areas and towns without a gospel witness. Pray for wisdom, organization, and fruit to be borne in these soon coming efforts. We will keep you posted. Lastly, don’t forget the announcement in our last letter concerning all donations sent in the month of June. All money sent to our ministry in the month of June (unless specifically designated) will go toward the purchase of property for the Brasov Independent Baptist Church. This includes all money sent for our family’s support. We will live off of our savings in that month. The greatest need at the present is getting the Brasov church back into the city with their own property so they can become self-supporting. This will take a miracle, but God is able. The people are giving what they can, our family is doing what we can, and the rest is in the capable hands of the Lord. Land and buildings cost more in Romania than in Germany, France, or the United States. Pray for an open door through the Spirit of God and great wisdom. There is one year left on our rental contract at our present location just outside of the city. All is well, and we rejoice for the privilege of being in the ministry of the Master.

"Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven

and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm,

and there is nothing too hard for thee (Jer.32:17),
