LoganLetter #52 (March 2008)
Families in Accord, Serving the Lord
I am writing this letter from the West Indies where I am preaching a Missions Conference for two missionary churches. Years ago, I ordained the man who started and now labours in these churches. What a joy to see the Lord work all over this world. What a greater joy to actually be involved in what He is doing!
As we detail the ministry to you each month in our letters, many times the Sutek family (pictured with us above) is not mentioned. This does not overshadow the importance of their ministry with us. They are an intricate part of the work of God in Romania, and we thank God for them. For three and a half years now, we have harmoniously served the Lord together. We have had no spats, arguments, jealousies, or anger toward one other. We say this to the glory of God. We have always endeavoured to let nothing come between us so that much work could be done for the cause of Christ, and souls may be rescued from the burning. We do not detail all of their needs and activities since they put out their own reports; but it is our desire that you lift them up in prayer for the important work they are doing. Bro. Sutek, who is now 63 years old now, is a committed servant of God who is healthy as a horse, and an ever willing vessel for use. He is teaching Old Testament Survey in the Bible Institute at this time, aids our music ministry, leads the publick evangelism, teaches, fills the pulpit when we are away, and helps in every ministry to which we have given ourselves. He is, and always has been, involved in all that we are doing in Romania. We certainly could not operate as we have without he and his family. Mrs. Robin Sutek teaches the children at church and has been a blessing to my wife. Mary Sutek has been a blessing to my girls. Is it not wonderful when brethren dwell together in peace?! How sad it is that a world is falling into hell at lightning speed while God’s people fight, bicker, and fail to cooperate in the cause of Christ! We must work together in order to reach our communities and build strong churches. Let us lay aside our petty problems and jealousies for the Christian unity that is so needed in this hour. I am not talking about laying aside doctrine or godliness but, contrariwise, the flesh. If each church would spend as much time praying, witnessing, singing, and giving as they do fussing, then we would win the world to the Saviour. It is either busy for Jesus or busy with discord. Bro. Sutek and I have never claimed to be great Christians, but we do want to live like Christians should. We know that this has only been possible through the grace and mercy of God. Isn’t it amazing that different people can come together to reach the same world? God uses variety, albeit in unity. You, who have been so very faithful in coming together to support this ministry make up a very diverse community. Each church is different. Each person is unique. However, without all of you joining together to support our family in the work in Eastern Europe, it certainly would not be accomplished. Thank you for being involved. Stay unified and never stop the work.
