Printing Ministry Approaches TakeOff

By God’s grace and the gifts of God’s people, we were able to purchase the binding machine for the printing ministry this month. We praise the Lord that He has been providing the means for this good and necessary work so that those who sit in darkness may be given the light of God’s truth through the printed page. All that is left for this ministry to takeoff is a cutter. We hope to secure this very soon. Above in the picture you see the printer and binder with Adam Zander and myself. For those of you who do not know Adam, please let me introduce him to you. Adam is 25 years old and came to Romania with his family who are missionaries here. The Zanders took over the work in Racos where we started a church in 2006. Adam worked in a professional print shop in New York city before coming to Romania. This single Christian man has offered his intelligent services to us so that we may print the countless materials needed for all of Eastern Europe. We desire to reach as far as possible by the good grace and mercy of God. Pray for this work and for Adam.

I also request your prayers for us as we are aiding in the new translation of the Bible into Romanian. We are helping the good brothers in Cluj Napoca who have been engaged in this activity for 5 years. Our men are helping translate some of the Old Testament prophets because of the great time it is taking to complete the Old Testament. We are all anxiously awaiting a complete Romanian Bible that is true to our King James text. This is a most important work.

Harvest is coming in

My wife, all three kids, and I planted a large garden this year full of corn, potatoes, zucchini, squash, peas, beans, okra, etc. It was a joy to work and sweat together in the soil. We did this so that we would have some crops to help our church family and friends who do not have all the blessings that we have financially. We hope that this kindness will win cold hearts and encourage God’s people. The corn harvest is just finishing up wonderfully, and we trust that the potato harvest (the main staple of Romania) will be just as bountiful.

How I wish that I could report a great harvest of souls this month but such is not the case; although, we have received two tracts indicating professions of faith in the Lord Jesus. One tract came from 4 hours away to the north. The other tract was read by a man at one of our weekly street meetings in the city. After intently sitting down and reading the two gospel tracts, he approached me with a smile and handed me the tract filled out to indicate he had received Christ. His name is Stefan Salanki, and he lives about 6 hours from us in Romania. How we wish some of this fruit could be local but are still thankful for it.

The forced move of the location of the church in the city has greatly hurt our attendance. I reported this possibility last month. Pray with us as we go house to house and do our best to reach people and bring them to Jesus and into the fellowship of our church.

Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God (Deut.32:2),
