THE CHURCH THAT IS AT RACOS
In April of 2005, I reported to you that we had begun a new outreach into a place called Racos. We faithfully preached and taught in the open-air every week for over a year. Souls were saved and baptized. In July of 2006, I wrote to you that a church was born in this village and property was purchased. With much labour and through many difficulties, Bro. Sutek and I continued to try and hold together two local church ministries and a Bible study in a third area. Shortly after we began ministering in Racos, the Lord touched the hearts of the Zander family to come to Romania. Praise God that they have now arrived. Above you see the first picture of the Zander family in the Racos Independent Baptist Church. I turned over this work to Bro. Zander this past Sunday (20th). Pray for them as they move into a very third world village environment. They are thrilled and excited to get to work there for Jesus. This is what Racos must have and we could not give them....a man who can daily minister to them as a shepherd. Brasov is an hour and a half away, but we will do all we can to aid in any way possible. Rejoice with us for these new troops on the front lines.
When I started out on this journey to try and make some difference in the darkness which enshrouds Eastern Europe, I began it with the mentality of comparing the spiritual bondage of men behind the devil’s curtain in Eastern Europe with the physical enslavement of mankind under the iron curtain of facism. The necessity of Operation Overlord culminating in D-Day to push back the Nazis and bring freedom in June of 1944 was the same thing needed in our day for the spiritual liberation of the souls of men. I prayed that God would create an Operation Lordover where Jesus Christ would indeed become the Lord Over many souls which knew no freedom from sin. We have experienced no overwhelming victory and no nationwide sweep of liberating revival in the land. We are, however, still pushing for that power which can make a real difference and are pleading for the men which will soldier that plan into action. Recently, Bro. and Mrs. Sutek spoke of the Zanders arrival as Z-Day. Pray that their coming will be a push which will drive the enemy back and bring victory in countless lives that have no hope in life and only torment awaiting them in the lake of fire. Yes, God give us a D-Day! Such a push for souls will have just as many casualties, tragedies, setbacks, miscommunications, and costs, BUT PRAY for a continuous forward pursuit for victory which moves the enemy back a little at a time or in great strides IF God will allow. Darkness must flee at light. They cannot abide together. All we need for such a movement is the will, the manpower, and the enabling of our gracious heavenly Commander.
Freedom is contagious but is only present through great personal sacrifice. We live in such a day where there is not much stomach for personal sacrifice, therefore, we feel the affects of the cruelty of oppression. May God help each of us to be good soldiers of Jesus Christ and advance His great cause wherever we are. True officers who lead and inspire their troops always do so by their personal example on the battlefield. Did not the Great Captain of our Salvation give us such a needed expression of example in giving the greatest sacrifice in the greatest of battles for us? Onward then, without hesitation, or thought for life.
“We will accept nothing less than full victory..let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.” General Dwight D. Eisenhower, D-Day order (June 6, 1944)
