LoganLetter #47 (October 2007)

Greetings to all those who love our Lord in sincerity,

I am writing this letter from my desk in Romania on a Sunday afternoon while being serenaded by some very poor children outside my window with "the B-I-B-L-E, yes that’s the book for me" and "who made the stars...THE LORD GOD" and various other songs in Romanian that we have taught these children at church. What a joy!!! These young ones have gathered at my gate (where the church is now) a full two hours before the service. This is their manner. They love being here even if we do not have a children’s program for them. We have two special services per week for them, and they eat it up. Maybe it is just the love that we show to them that draws them so. Pray for them. It is like having a great host of bus kids, howbeit much poorer, and they behave surprisingly better than some church kids I know. They are memorizing songs, Bible verses, and are hearing preaching and teaching faithfully. We continue to suffer the little children to come to the Master. Oh that we could do more to impact their lives!

With thankfulness I am glad to report that the attendance has been doing well since the move from the city. Brasov Independent Baptist Church had a little over 40 this morning. We praise God for His help to reach this area where the church is located. Continue to pray that the Lord will help these believers grow up into Christ instead of being motivated by envy, jealousy, and the thirst for a wealthier life.

Concerning the Bible study in Budila, please intercede for us that the Lord will give great wisdom in the progression of this ministry. This work is an all gypsy work at this time. The people come to the Bible study on Thursday nights and are begging us to start a church there. This town has no Bible believing church of any kind. We sincerely desire to start a church here but are hesitant because of the lack of sincerity we see with the gypsies. I am willing to make a go of it but really desire wisdom from above. The gypsies are quick to come and quick to leave. Some land has been offered to us for sale there. If God sends the rest of the money in, then I will buy it and give it our best effort to establish another church. May His will be done.

Racos Independent Baptist Church continues to go forward with the work of the Zander family. Pray that God will strengthen and bless their labours with many souls and a strong church in this remote area of Romania. Especially remember Adam Zander, who will be running our printing ministry, which promises a good start for this furtherance of ministry.

Our other ministries all continue by the grace of God. There is never a dull moment. Publick preaching, house to house visitation, tract distribution, and the internet preaching ministry are all working together to point people to Christ and to Biblical Christianity.

I remain but "dust and ashes" (Gen.18:27, Job 30:19, 42:6),
