August/September/October 2009 Prayer Letter
Greetings to all in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As you
know we have arrived back on the island of Saint Lucia. We have much to
rejoice in the Lord and again I say rejoice. As we came back to the work
on the island we found the ministry doing quiet well. The people at Grace
Baptist Church were happy to see our return. We were very joyful coming
back to them and the island. It is good to know you are in a place where you
know God want you. During my absents, Hazel did a great job in leading the
people of the ministry. He grew in the Lord so much and
received a great taste for the ministry. Please continue to pray for him
and his family as they are pursuing the work of God.
During the month of August we held VBS in Grace. Bro. Mike Basile came
down from DeLand, FL and helped us greatly during the week. Bro. Basile is very
talented in working with children. He is great with balloon sculpturing
and gospel magic. Our attendance average was about 95 per day. One day we went
well over 100 kids. We seen about three or four professions of faith,
including one teenager who was there as a worker.
We have been trying to get settled back into the country. Shortly after our
arrival on the island our 20 feet container of “stuff” from the USA arrived. So
we have been doing a lot of unpacking and rearranging.. We also have been
doing a lot of
work to the house that we are renting. Our landlord held the house for us while
we were on furlough. Our children have enjoyed getting back into a more of a
structure schedule and so have I.
Shortly after arriving back to St. Lucia we seen two young men in their early
twenties get saved. One of the young men whose name is Darius have really taken
off in his new found faith in the Lord. Please pray as we see people saved that
they
may grow in the Lord. I held a revival meeting for Pastor Minville in a
town called Soufriere. God really moved that week. I believe two ladies got
saved and the altar was filled every night with God’s people.
Thank you so much for yours prayers and financial support. May God bless all of
you.
