Dear friends and supporting churches,                                                               6- 1-09

I greet you from the Adult Sand Box of Sin where mom’s and dad’s come to play with the Devil and all of his little friends who’s only purpose is to try to damn their souls to hell. But to us who preach the Word of God here, it is a sand box of precious hidden treasures of the souls of men that God has called us to happily hunt for and dig out of this Sand Box of Sin. So let me tell you of the treasures that God let us dig up this month.

On one Saturday night when my wife and I were out of town showing the work at a church, Brother Matt Presley, my associate, was heading up the street work on the Strip.  After some time of digging around in the “sand” in front of the Mirage Hotel and Casino he found two precious Jewels” (sinners), and had the joy of seeing these two young men come to Christ on there knees and receive the real riches of salvation that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

One Sunday morning after Pastor Mc Kenzie had been digging around in the “sand” of the church in the preaching service, my wife Lari found two young Jewels” In the form of ten year old girls just sitting in the grass of the church yard and led them to the King of Kings through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. It is a joy to be a treasure hunter for God.

While passing out tracts and preaching on the Strip in front of the Paris Hotel and Casino

on Thursday night, after I had just finished my message, I was putting my bible in my back pocket and getting my tracts out of my shirt pocket, I noticed a young woman  in the crowd making her way toward me. So I put on my biggest, friendliest smile and handed her a tract. Then it happened! This woman broke a twenty five year record as she slapped me on the face. This is the first time I have ever been hit for preaching the gospel. And thank God it was a 120 lb. drunk woman, and not a 300 lb drunk man. Her husband ran over and grabbed her before she could strike once again and he hauled her away as she was screaming and cursing me and telling me that I knew nothing about the love of God. I was mad but not that she hit me, but that she had broken a perfect record of not being hit in all these years of doing the street work.( Praise God anyway).

Our support has come up a little (Praise God) to 40% but I did get laid off my security job. But God has taken care of us, and will continue to do so.
